Thanks for introducing me to SimonCat! Very, very true. My cat gets my attention by pawing my leg...loves to chase and fetch a small pom pom while I'm on the computer.
Yeah, that's pretty much every workday around here. Sometimes my two kitties get so pushy I have to throw them out of the office and close the door; of course, then I get to hear them meowl on the other side of it.
Graymatter climbed inside my desk (it's a deep wardrobe-style labyrinthine thing) one day last week, played with the cord to my trackball and pulled the whole trackball down into the back of the desk. Of course, I could just pull it back out of the depths by its cord...only the ball had fallen out. It took a longhandled pasta-strainer to reach it and reinstall it in the housing.
One thing she hates is an old toy Slinky[tm]. If i keep one handy and start clinking it back and forth, she decides to play somewhere else!
O yes, Graymatter is relatively hyper and demands a lot of mental stimulation. And when she says Play! the hoomans better deliver! Napkin balls, paper trimmings, shoelaces....
