Whassup now?

Possibly the best, most creative ad of this entire election cycle.

I'm Ronnie Cat, and I endorse this message.

p.s. Yes, it is the same actors. Charles Stone, who directed the original Superbowl ad, reassembled them for the political ad.

Fun Fact: Much of Cindy McCain's family fortune was built on, and is still generated by, an impressive Anheuser Busch distributorship.

I just discovered your blog today. A wonderful American (xtreme enlish) gave me your site.
I am so enjoying your writing and style.
I am a bilateral cochlear implant guy in Ontario, although I was born in NS , and feel still a part of the province.
I look forward to reading your archives.
Warmest,

David

Has there ever been a US Presidential campaign that better lends itself to biting commentary? I don't think so, not at least in my memory, and I am gleeful that so much of that commentary has been of this level of synthesis of humor and grit.

And that will all be very warm and wonderful if it turns out the way it absolutely has to turn out.

Y'know, there are people who think the fact that McCain married a hot rich blonde with a nearly limitless supply of beer speaks very well of his judgment. Just sayin' . . .

Very good point, Brian. In fact, he's made marrying a beer heiress a staple of his economic plan. (Caution: the video seems to start automatically when you click on the link.) I give him full points for sharing his winning strategy. :)

Dave - WELCOME! Coincidentally I left a comment on YOUR blog, which I also discovered via Xtreme English. (Being that she is in Washington, DC, shouldn't she be declared a National Treasure??)

Glad to make your acquaintance.

I'll be adding you to my blogroll shortly. Bilateral, eh? I'm intrigued and a wee bit jealous. Look forward to communicating with you.
