Sobering. Heartbreaking.

And, if you watched Peter MacKay's stubborn defense today of Canada's refusal to call for an immediate cease-fire, and refusal to call Israel to task for its share of this ugly mess, infuriating.

Canadians, however, appear to be losing patience.

Thanks to Mike P. who does a great job of sharing the important and thought-provoking things he finds on the net with his correspondents.

Prime Minister Harper should be reminded that the Canadian Reform Alliance Party (CRAP) was abandoned. The Conservative brand suggested a party that could constrain the bigots, extremists and radicals within it. The Canadian electorate will hold the prime Minister responsible if he doesn't keep them on a leash. Once bitten, twice shy. Mr. Mackay should be relieved as Foreign minister. His talents are more suited to other uses. Ambassador to the U.S.A. comes to mind.
