Random iguanas and Vestigial Tails.

Photographed and explained better than I ever could, the awesome iguanas of Cayo Largo.

Iguanas are adorable, except when they're not, and they hiss! at you.

I always defer to them. Just like the cucarachas and the snakes, they were there first.

Loved the lizard pics and the captions even more. What I really want to know now is how do I get one of those great Che bags we can see in the last picture? I think it would accessorize nicely with most of my outfits.

While I was at Bruce's blog anyway, I slipped down a couple of posts to the one about Remidios. I was 15 in 1962, and remember the terror he brings back so well. It's a very effective piece for those of us who were young then, but not too young to remember it now.

Brook: Teller of stories, indeed!!!

Sherwood: The history of the place is a big reason for our fascination with it. It impacted Bruce's childhood in particular.

PS You can read the story of how he came by the famous Che backpack here.

Always enjoy your trip reports. But mostly I'm leaving a comment to ask if you've received any e-mails from me lately. I've sent you a couple, including a reply to yours on June 4, but have reason to fear that I'm not getting through to some people. Trying to troubleshoot; are you one of them?
