Guess where I am?

Thanks for playing. I was in Florenceville-Bristol (used to be Florenceville; they just amalgamated with the village over), NB, named for Florence Nightingale (srsly), French Fry Capital of the World and the world headquarters of McCain Foods, inventors and purveyors of frozen french fries (among thousands of other foodstuffs around the world). If you've eaten a McDonald's fry, you've eaten a McCain fry. I think it is not surprising that they have a potato museum.

I get to visit this place for work. Isn't my job awesome?

Oh, that's right. Just go ahead -- go ahead and crush my dearest illusions with carelessness and nonchalance.

McDonald's uses FROZEN fries?

I may not survive the day.

By the way, why is there an orangutan sleeping in that parking space?

I've now updated the post to include information about the location. Yes, McDonald's uses frozen french fries, humungous bags of them. From McCains. I have *no* explanation for the orangutan.
