I'm missing the narrative here...what were you doing in Ottawa? did you get lost??
One of my famous 48-hour turnaround meetings in Ottawa for work. Ottawa is to Canada as Washington, DC is to the US - the heart of federal power. (Along with Gatineau, Quebec - it's complicated.) Therefore, I frequently hop on a plane in the afternoon, fly up, have an evening of meetings and a following full day of meetings, and fly back, in less than 48 hours. It can be very pleasant or very not-so, depending on the season, the venue, and the accommodations I'm able to scare up. But there's always something nice about being in your country's heart of government, home of Parliament, where every second skyscraper has the "CANADA" logo or a Canadian flag on it (as that white building does if you click the picture to see the larger version).
